4050 Italo is a stained oak frame carrying a simple upholstered seat and back. The frame is visible on all sides and does the structural work; the upholstery is padding, not shape.

The seat is foam, cut to a modest depth — enough for a long dinner, not so much that the chair becomes a lounge seat. It is built to match the 4050 Italo table exactly in finish.
