Rattan, woven by hand
Steamed, bent and bound by hand over kiln-dried teak. One lounge chair takes a weaver most of a week, and you can see it in how tight the weave sits.

Bent and woven by hand
Rattan is cut, cured and sorted by pole and diameter before anything is bent. Poles are steamed until they are soft enough to curve, shaped over a teak former, and only then does the weaving start.
Cane and core are worked onto the frame by hand, which takes days per piece. Finish it natural, in a kubu grey wash or in black. For anything going outside, we weave it in all-weather fibre over an alloy core.
Natural cane, all-weather weave
Natural rattan for rooms and covered terraces. The synthetic weave, worked by hand over an alloy core, for anywhere that gets weather.
Natural rattan lightens with sunlight and deepens with handling. The all-weather weave is colour-stable and can be hosed down.

You cannot judge how tight a weave is from a photograph. We will send a woven panel in the finish you are thinking about.
