5115 Modern Epoque sets a panel of Viennese cane into the headboard — the woven rattan grid used on bentwood chairs since the nineteenth century, here framed in polished black lacquered ash or Canaletto walnut.

Cane is the one transparent material in a bedroom otherwise made of solid surfaces; light passes through the weave, so a large headboard stays visually open. The frame is lifted on a suspended base with metal feet.
