Cuvee: The Art of Woven Indoor Living

The Cuvee collection by Melaaura brings the craft of fine rattan weaving indoors. Designer Jamela Alawneh named the collection after the winemaker’s cuvée — a blend of the very best — and composed each piece the same way: dense, hand-wrapped rattan panels set against open colonnades of slender spindles, so light passes through the frame while the silhouette stays grounded and generous.

A Silhouette in Two Weaves

Every Cuvee frame plays tight against open. Closely woven side panels flare outward like the bowl of a glass, while banded rows of vertical spindles ring the backrest crown and the plinth below, lifting each piece visually off the floor. The effect is architectural yet relaxed — furniture that reads as lacework from across the room and as solid craft up close.

Deep Comfort, Dressed in Botanicals

Seats are deep, low and feather-soft, finished with tailored knife-edge cushions and loose scatter pillows in a watercolour botanical print — a garden palette of leaf greens, terracotta, ochre and dusty blue over ivory. Fabrics can be specified to order, from the signature print to quiet naturals and performance weaves.

Natural Rattan, Made to Order

Each frame is hand-woven from natural rattan over a solid core and finished in a pale honey tone that warms with age. The Cuvee Lounge Chair and Cuvee Sofa are produced to order for residential and hospitality projects alike — contact us for fabric, finish and custom sizing.
