2505 Desigual is essentially two mattresses that align into a bed. The base and the backrest are the two halves; a single movement brings them level with each other and the sofa becomes a sleeping surface with no separate frame to unfold.

It runs on a compass mechanism, which opens the bed forward rather than backward — so the sofa does not have to be pulled away from the wall first. On a piece that will be opened and closed regularly, that is the difference between using it and not.
