2900 Open puts a headrest on the backrest — unusual on a sofa bed, where the back normally has to stay thin enough to fold. Sitting upright is therefore properly supported, not just tolerated.

The bed itself is full-depth rather than a token fold-out, and the whole piece sits on a floor-level base. Open is the version to choose when the sofa bed is a sofa first and a bed second.
