Designed by Jamela Alawneh for Melaaura, the Morbido Upholstered Dining Chair brings the collection’s signature softness to the dining table. Where the Morbido Rope Dining Chair speaks through line and transparency, this chair speaks through comfort — a fully upholstered seat and backrest held within the same precise Grade A teak framework, inviting guests to stay seated long after the plates are cleared.

The frame is cut from Grade A teak, the dense, oil-rich heartwood classification that defines genuine outdoor luxury furniture. Worked into the clean right angles and flat-faced planes of the Morbido silhouette and sealed with a protective varnish, it is built for permanent outdoor life — keeping its warm golden tone with simple care, or weathering gracefully to silver-grey if left to the seasons.

The upholstery is where the engineering shows. The covers are cut from a highest-category performance fabric, woven in Spain and backed by a five-year warranty — a textile developed to resist UV fading, moisture, and wear while retaining the soft, refined hand of an interior fabric. Beneath it sits a hydro-drain foam core: an open-cell structure that lets rainwater pass straight through and air circulate freely, so the cushioning dries quickly, resists mould, and keeps its shape and support season after season. Fabric colour is specified at the time of order.

The result is a dining chair with the sitting comfort of an interior piece and the constitution of true outdoor furniture — generous, supportive, and unbothered by weather.
