About Tikal corner
Design
The Tikal corner, designed by Nicola De Pellegrini for Talenti, is the discreet piece that brings a kitchen layout together. It sits at the meeting point of runs with two modules or three, creating a clean, continuous turn without visual noise. Lines meet, faces align, and the geometry stays calm. That is its purpose: to connect adjacent bases from the Tikal collection so the whole composition reads as one.
Nothing feels overworked here. The proportions are balanced, the edges precise, the profile confident but restrained. It’s a corner base that does the background work beautifully, allowing the rest of the kitchen to look considered and complete.
Materials & Build
A mixed-metal frame—steel, zinc, magnesium, and aluminum—gives the unit its strength and poise. The combination delivers rigidity where it’s needed and a refined surface quality that sits comfortably alongside other Tikal elements. It is engineered to take daily use without complaint.
The footprint is compact and purposeful at about 23.6 inches wide and 23.6 inches deep (60 x 60 cm), with a height of roughly 35.4 inches (90 cm). At approximately 165 lb (75 kg), it feels substantial in place, which helps everything stay true and stable once installed.
Comfort in Use
Comfort in a kitchen shows up as flow. By resolving the junction between modules, the Tikal corner removes awkward gaps and odd angles, so movement around the workspace feels natural. Counters align. Edges meet. Prep and serving can happen without a second thought. And because the height sits in line with standard kitchen runs, the working plane remains uninterrupted.
Placement & Lifestyle
This piece is for L-shaped and U-shaped layouts that need a clean turn. It links two-module and three-module bases with ease, letting tighter spaces feel ordered and larger programs look intentional. The result is a kitchen that reads as one system rather than a set of parts.
In open plans or more focused cooking zones, it supports the same idea: streamlined sightlines and practical reach. Use it where the plan changes direction and the eye needs continuity. The Tikal corner keeps everything composed.
Longevity & Care
Durability starts with the frame. The material mix is chosen for resilience, so the corner holds its shape and finish through years of daily routines. The weight adds to its staying power; it doesn’t shift, and it doesn’t ask for attention. A tailored cover is available when extra protection is wanted.
It ships as a single piece and is not stackable—sensible for a structural base designed to live in place. Over time, it does what good components do: it quietly supports the layout, preserving the crisp lines and cohesion that define the Tikal collection.
