About Morbido Dining Table
Designed by Jamela Alawneh for Melaaura, the Morbido Dining Table extends the collection’s architectural language to the most social piece of furniture there is. This is a table built for long dinners that drift past midnight — over ten feet of solid Grade A teak, composed with the same clean lines, flat planes, and quiet geometric confidence that define every piece in the Morbido range.
Grade A teak is the highest classification of the timber: cut from the heartwood of mature trees, dense, tight-grained, and naturally saturated with the protective oils that have made teak the definitive material of fine outdoor furniture for more than a century. Left outdoors year-round it resists rot, insects, and warping without treatment, weathering slowly from its warm golden-brown tone toward an elegant silver-grey patina — or holding its original colour with simple seasonal care.
The proportions are deliberately generous. At 121.26 inches long (308 cm), 47.24 inches deep (120 cm), and a standard dining height of 29.92 inches (76 cm), the table comfortably seats ten to twelve guests — making it the natural centre of an outdoor kitchen, a covered loggia, a poolside dining terrace, or a hospitality setting where scale and material quality are equally required. The broad top provides ample room for a fully dressed table, while the substantial base keeps the piece unshakeably stable on any surface.
As with every piece in the Morbido collection, the design earns its presence through restraint. There is no ornament to date it and nothing extraneous to interrupt the material — just the rhythm of the teak boards, the precision of the joinery, and a silhouette that reads as clearly from across a garden as it does at arm’s length.
Pair it with the Morbido Rope Dining Chair or Morbido Upholstered Dining Chair for a complete outdoor dining arrangement, or set it against more eclectic seating for a looser, collected look. Each table is made to order.
