5000 Queen closes the bed on three sides. Side panels rise from the frame like low dividers and meet the headboard, so the mattress sits inside a shallow enclosure rather than on an open platform.

The effect is to make the bed its own room within the room — more sheltered than a headboard alone can manage. It sits on a suspended base with turned wooden feet.
