580 Re Set has armrests that recline on a mechanism. Folded up they read as ordinary arms; folded down they extend the seat into a flat surface, so the sofa lengthens without a chaise module being added.

The volume is suspended clear of the floor on metal feet, with a foam seat. The outline is kept strict precisely because of the mechanism — a rigorous shape makes the moving arm read as intentional rather than as an add-on.
