575 Hi Story is drawn around a wing — the side of the structure tapers and sweeps as it rises, so the sofa is thinner at the top of the arm than at the seat. It is a classical move executed with straight lines instead of curves.

The body sits on a suspended base with turned wooden feet, over a foam seat. The slimming of the arm profile is what keeps a fairly deep sofa from looking bulky in a room of ordinary height.

Designed by Altrodesign for Vibieffe. A middle path for a client who wants the presence of a traditional sofa without the rolled arms that usually signal it.
