9900 E Spirit closes its structure with polished brass fittings, and those fittings hold shelves in shadow-stained oak or burnished metal. The brass is the joint and the ornament at once — the piece is detailed at its connections rather than on its surfaces.

Shadow-stained oak is a dark, open-grained finish that keeps the timber legible; burnished metal takes the same shelf in the opposite direction.

Designed by Gianluigi Landoni, part of the wider E Spirit programme that also includes a modular bookcase.
