About Taijitu Dining Table
Taijitu is a table about balance. Its sculptural metal base is built from two elliptical-section components whose sinuous lines take their reference from the Taijitu symbol — the ancient Chinese emblem of universal harmony and the balance of opposites.
It is a single module, rotated 180 degrees, that forms both halves of the central base. The two elements set up a dynamic play of solids and voids intended to invite contemplation as much as to hold up a surface, and they become the visual fulcrum of whatever room they sit in.
The metalwork is exacting, and the refined finish — offered in several variants — modulates reflected light against the material surface to bring out the geometry.
