Designed by Studio Contromano, the Machard carries its extraordinary base outdoors without losing a single degree of refinement. The same densely woven cord pedestal, gathered at the waist like a lantern held in tension meets the elements in a deeply toned bronze-brown finish built for outdoor endurance. What began as an interior statement becomes, under open sky and dappled light, something even more alive.

The round top in dark slatted wood sits wide and generously above the woven base, its surface composed of neatly laid planks that allow air to move through while maintaining the visual solidity of a single form. The warm timber tone deepens in direct sunlight, shifting the overall composition from hour to hour as the light moves across the terrace.

Gathered around it, the Machard transforms any outdoor space into a setting of real intention, a place to linger over a long lunch, to gather at dusk, to make the terrace feel as considered as any room within the house.
