About Ellison Armchair
Ellison is shaped by one continuous line that forms both the seat and the backrest without a break.
Where those two elements meet, the upholstery adapts to the change in direction and picks up a slight lateral tension. It is a small, almost irregular detail, and it is the best thing about the chair — it recalls traditional upholstery and makes the form feel familiar and lived-in rather than clinical, without giving up any of the design’s contemporary clarity.
A four-spoke swivel base in metal lifts the piece and keeps the relationship between structure and upholstered volume in balance.
