9085 Concrete rests a top on a lightweight concrete base via a thin metal support. The support is intentionally slight, so the top appears to hover just clear of the mass beneath it instead of sitting on it.

Tops are smoked glass or marble in a range of finishes. Smoked glass is the more interesting pairing here — being partly transparent, it lets the concrete block below stay visible through the surface.
