535 Sit Up has a mechanism at each end of the seat that raises the outer sections. Lift them and the sofa becomes a chaise at one end or a supported upright seat at the other; drop them and it is a flat bench again.

Seats and armrests are wide, on a suspended base with metal feet and foam fills that hold the raised position without collapsing. The outer form is deliberately minimal so the moving parts stay invisible when everything is level.
