About Panama Living armchair

A Living Room Take on an Outdoor Icon

The Panama Living armchair by Talenti started as something different — an outdoor piece defined by nautical rope and relaxed, organic curves. This version reimagines that original design for interior spaces, swapping rope for leather or fabric while keeping the enveloping silhouette that made the collection recognizable in the first place. The shape is soft and sculptural without trying too hard. It reads as informal, which is exactly the point.

Materials and Construction

Underneath the upholstery, a steel frame provides the structural foundation, with legs finished in burnished, chrome, or glossy black. The seat itself is built on flexible polyurethane with a rigid polyurethane insert for support, padded in high-density expanded polyurethane foam. It’s a layered construction that balances give and structure — soft enough to sink into, firm enough to hold its shape over time.

Upholstery options run wide. Fabric is available across several categories, from A through E and LUX. And for leather, there are two tiers — Category F and Category G LUX. Thermoplastic polymer glides protect flooring underneath. The chair ships as a single package, weighs roughly 29 pounds, and has a seat height of approximately 14.5 inches.

Comfort Without Ceremony

The Panama Living armchair sits low. That 14.5-inch seat height puts it firmly in lounge territory. This isn’t a chair for sitting upright at a desk. It’s built for leaning back, settling in, letting a conversation stretch longer than planned. The organic curves wrap around the body in a way that feels welcoming but never fussy. Relaxation is the entire premise here.

Where It Works

Living rooms are the obvious fit, but the design is versatile enough for lounges, reading corners, or more casual reception areas. It brings a quiet presence to a room — refined but approachable. Because the frame finishes and upholstery options are so varied, the chair adapts to different interiors without losing its character. A burnished steel frame in dark leather reads one way. Chrome with a lighter fabric reads completely differently. Same chair, different personality.

Built to Last

Steel frames, high-density foam, and quality upholstery materials aren’t chosen at random. They’re chosen because they hold up. The Talenti Panama Living armchair is designed to age well in real homes, not just look good in a showroom. The construction is straightforward and solid, and that simplicity is part of what makes it resilient. No overly complex mechanisms, no fragile details. Just a well-made chair that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
