About Thea Director Chair

Design

The Thea Director Chair brings the familiar ease of the classic director’s chair into a cleaner, more architectural silhouette. Designed by Marco Acerbis, it feels light in line and sure in stance. The cross-braced base, slim arms, and taut seat create a balanced profile that sits naturally around a dining table or on its own. It folds smoothly when space matters and opens with the same simplicity. Nothing fussy. Just a smart, outdoor-ready chair that looks composed from every angle.

Materials & Build

A solid teak frame sets the tone—warm, stable, and made for open-air living. The seat and backrest are fabric, chosen to pair easily with the wood’s character. Finishes include natural teak with beige upholstery or palissandro with beige, each option keeping the palette calm and collected. The cross-braced structure gives the chair its confident feel while keeping weight down, and the hardware is neatly resolved so the lines stay clean. It’s practical by design, with a folding mechanism that respects the form rather than interrupting it.

Comfort

The fabric seat and backrest offer steady support without bulk, so posture stays relaxed through a long lunch or late conversation. Dimensions are well-judged for dining: width about 24 in, depth about 21.7 in, and overall height about 32.3 in. The seat sits at approximately 18.5 in, with armrests at about 25.2 in—easy to slide under most outdoor tables, easy to rise from. At roughly 24.3 lb, it feels substantial enough to be stable yet manageable to move when the setting changes. Thea keeps comfort straightforward and honest.

Placement & Lifestyle

From terrace brunches to garden dinners, it adapts without calling attention to itself. Pair it with a teak table for a unified setting, or mix it with stone or metal to keep things eclectic and grounded. The folding frame makes storage simple between seasons or after an event. It isn’t stackable by intent; instead, it folds flat to save space and protect the seat and backrest. For projects and homes that appreciate order and ease, the Talenti chair fits right in.

Longevity

Built for outdoor use, the teak frame and fabric components handle daily life with quiet confidence. A dedicated cover is available to help shield the chair when not in use, keeping maintenance low and looks consistent. Packaging is one piece per box, straightforward for delivery and setup. Choose the finish that suits the setting—natural teak or palissandro with beige—and expect Thea to age gracefully alongside the space it serves.
