About Cookie Side table
Design
The Cookie side table from Capital is built around a simple idea: a pure cylinder, wrapped and framed by a distinctive metal ring. The ring sits like a subtle band around the central body, giving structure and a clear visual focus. It is a calm, contemporary piece, with no unnecessary lines, just a clear geometry that works in many interiors.
Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the Service Tables 2019 collection, Cookie feels considered but not overdesigned. The proportions are compact, with a diameter of about 19.7 inches and a similar depth, so it sits close without crowding a space. It’s the kind of table that quietly does its job, then earns a second look.
Materials & Build
The core structure carries a metal crown, finished as a smooth “wedding ring” around the cylindrical frame. This frame can be upholstered either in leather or fabric, giving two very different readings of the same form. On top, the surface is offered in marble or wood, letting the piece shift from more formal to more relaxed settings without changing its silhouette.
Width and depth are each around 19.7 inches, with a height of about 23.6 inches. Overall volume is close to 7.1 cubic feet, and the weight ranges from roughly 64 to 88 pounds, depending on the chosen combination of marble, wood, leather, or fabric. It feels solid in the hand, not light or fragile.
Comfort in Daily Use
Though not a seating piece, Cookie is designed for easy reach. At just under two feet high, it aligns naturally with most sofas and lounge chairs, so a glass, a book, or a laptop lands exactly where it should. The cylindrical form and rounded edges avoid sharp corners, making it comfortable to move around and live with, even in tighter rooms.
Placement & Lifestyle
This Capital table works beside a sofa, between two armchairs, or as a more generous bedside table. It also sits well in hospitality spaces, from lobbies to suites, where its compact footprint earns its place. One Cookie can stand alone, but a pair, mixing materials, creates an understated focal point without shouting for attention.
Longevity
Cookie is built for long-term use, not just a season. The metal crown gives a stable frame; the leather, fabrics, marble, and wood are all familiar, proven materials that age with character when cared for. Finishes can be chosen to match how the table will really be used, whether that means a more resilient fabric and wood combination or a more luxurious leather and marble pairing. Over time, the piece is meant to quietly settle into the room, not wear out.
