Duna Plus Office

About Duna Plus Office

Softly Sculpted Design

The Duna Plus writing desk from Capital is shaped with gentle curves that feel deliberate, not decorative. Lines stay clean and fluid, so the piece looks composed from every angle rather than front-on only. Nothing feels sharp or rigid; the form is confident but quiet. It brings presence to a room without shouting for attention, which is exactly what a serious workspace needs.

Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the 2024 Writing Desks collection, it feels current yet easy to live with. Whether it sits in a corner office or a private library at home, the silhouette holds its own next to art, books, or technology.

Materials and Build

The desk is built around a substantial top, offered either in wood or in a lacquered finish for a smoother, more contemporary look. Two drawers are integrated neatly beneath it, with fronts that match in wood or lacquer, keeping the design visually coherent. Sides and doors can be finished in wood, lacquer, or smooth leather, allowing a subtle play of texture without breaking the line of the piece.

Inside, two bronzed glass shelves add a discreet note of refinement and a practical spot for documents or personal items. The base is completed in a metallic finish, giving the structure a grounded, architectural feel. At roughly 102.4 inches wide, 30.7 inches high, and 33.9 inches deep, and weighing around 397 pounds, the Duna Plus is clearly built as a substantial, lasting piece.

Comfort and Everyday Use

The generous width gives plenty of room to spread out a laptop, papers, and a few objects that make work feel more personal. There is space to move, to write, to think, without the surface feeling crowded. The drawers keep essentials close at hand but out of view, so the top can stay clear and calm.

Legroom is open and unobstructed, with the curved structure helping the desk feel welcoming rather than rigid. It is a piece designed to be used for long stretches of focused work, not just admired.

Placement, Lifestyle, and Longevity

In an executive office, the Capital desk naturally becomes the anchor of the room. At home, it works just as well in a dedicated study or an open-plan living space, where its soft lines help it blend rather than dominate. Wood, lacquer, leather, glass, and metal come together in a way that sits comfortably next to both classic and contemporary furniture.

The weight of the structure, the solid finishes, and the bronzed glass details all point to a desk intended to stay put and age well. With careful use and normal maintenance, it is the kind of workstation that can support daily routines year after year, quietly earning its place as part of a long-term working life.
