About Celine H85 Column
Design
The Celine H85 by Capital is a tall, sculptural column with a quiet, graphic presence. At about 33.5 inches high and 15.75 inches in diameter, it stands with a clean, vertical line that feels deliberate rather than showy. The silhouette is composed of two levels, visually tied together by a slim metallic band that wraps around the piece. This detail does not shout for attention, yet it clearly defines the form and gives the column a tailored, finished look.
Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the 2022 Lighting and Complements collection, it reads as a contemporary accent with a calm profile. The shape is simple enough to sit comfortably in many interiors, but distinct enough to feel considered. It works as a quiet anchor in a room, not a distraction.
Materials & Build
Celine H85 is available with a top in marble or wood veneer, both paired with structural elements in wood and metal. The mix is straightforward and honest, letting natural textures do most of the work. The marble option brings a cooler, more polished surface; the wood veneer offers a warmer tone with subtle grain.
Weighing roughly between 44 and 55 pounds, the piece has a solid, grounded feel when positioned. The volume is about 14.1 cubic feet, which gives a sense of substance without overwhelming the space. The metallic band that encircles the two levels is more than decoration; it visually connects base and top, giving the column a clear, architectural logic.
Comfort & Daily Ease
This is not a piece about soft comfort; it is about visual and practical ease. The proportions are balanced, so it sits quietly beside seating or along a wall without feeling intrusive. Surfaces are straightforward to approach and use, with a defined top that invites a light, a book, or a carefully chosen object.
In everyday life, the clarity of its design is what makes it “comfortable.” There is no confusion about how to use it or where it belongs in a room. It simply does its job and looks composed while doing it.
Placement & Lifestyle
Celine H85 fits naturally into living rooms, halls, or bedrooms where a vertical accent is needed. It can stand near a sofa as a companion to a floor lamp, mark an entryway, or sit under artwork to create a subtle focal point. Because the materials are understated, it pairs easily with both soft textiles and sharper, more minimal pieces.
In the context of Capital’s Lighting and Complements collection, it works as a linking element. It can support a light, frame a corner, or hold a few curated objects, giving structure to areas that often feel unfinished. The presence is calm, which suits both busy family spaces and more controlled, formal rooms.
Longevity
With wood, metals, and marbles as its core finishes, the Celine H85 is built on inherently durable materials. The weight helps it stay stable once placed, while the clean geometry avoids overworked details that might date quickly. It is the kind of piece that can move from one room to another as needs change, without losing relevance.
Care remains straightforward: a light touch in cleaning, respect for the natural surfaces, and it will age well. Over time, the character of the materials is what will carry the piece, not trends. In that sense, it sits comfortably within a home for the long run, quietly doing its work in the background.
