Trilogy L Bed

About Trilogy L Bed

Design

The Trilogy L bed from Capital brings a composed, architectural presence to the bedroom. Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the Beds 2016 collection, it is built around a striking headboard formed by a sequence of padded panels, each divided by a slim metal profile. The effect is clean and ordered, with just enough rhythm to catch the eye without overwhelming the room.

At about 76.4 inches wide, 55.1 inches high, and 86.6 inches deep (194 x 140 x 220 cm), the bed has a generous footprint suited to a primary suite. The proportion of the tall headboard to the low frame gives the piece a grounded, considered look that works equally well with calm neutrals or richer tones.

Materials & Build

A wooden frame forms the core structure, set on a metal base that keeps the profile light while supporting the overall weight of approximately 423 pounds (192 kg). The combination of materials gives the Trilogy L a reassuring solidity without feeling heavy in the space.

The headboard is padded with undeformable polyurethane foam in different densities, then finished in wood, fabric, or leather. Those panel sections divided by metal details are not just decorative; they allow for a tailored mix of textures and finishes that align with the rest of the room.

Comfort

The layered foam padding is designed to stay in shape, so the headboard remains comfortable to lean against night after night. Different densities across the panels help balance softness and support, whether used for reading, working, or simply resting.

The bed is sized for a mattress of 71 x 79 inches (180 x 200 cm), offering ample space for two while leaving enough room for side tables and lighting in most layouts.

Placement & Lifestyle

Trilogy L works best against a solid wall where the full height of the headboard can frame the room. The graphic lines of the metal profiles sit comfortably in both contemporary and more transitional interiors, depending on the choice of fabric or leather.

In a master bedroom it anchors the space, while in a guest suite it quietly elevates the atmosphere without feeling overdesigned. The restrained geometry makes it easy to pair with both minimal nightstands and more expressive case goods from Capital or elsewhere.

Longevity

The undeformable polyurethane foam, combined with the robust wooden frame and metal base, is built for long-term use. The structure is designed to hold its form, keeping the headboard neat and the bedline crisp over time.

Because the headboard can be customized in different fabrics and leathers, the Trilogy L can evolve with the interior. The core design stays consistent, while finishes can shift to match new palettes, extending the relevance of the bed well beyond a single styling choice.
