The Malè lamp is built as a stainless steel frame wrapped in a translucent polyethylene skin, so the whole body glows rather than throwing light from a visible source. The output is soft and even, with no glare to sit next to.

Stainless steel underneath means it can stay out through the season; at 52×52 cm and 87 cm tall it reads as a floor-standing object rather than a lamp on a stand.
