About Gaudí Dining Table
Introducing the Gaudí Dining Table by Flou, a sculptural exercise in restraint that goes beyond the conventional dining or bedroom table.
Designed by Matteo Nunziati, the Gaudí is a table that earns its place through understatement. Its dark-stained ash top sits low and wide, with softly rounded corners that avoid any sense of rigidity,a surface that invites touch as much as use. The grain runs through it quietly, present but never loud, letting the depth of the finish do the speaking.
What distinguishes the Gaudí most is its legs. Tapered, gently curved, and seamlessly integrated into the tabletop, they lend the piece an almost organic quality — as though the structure grew from a single form rather than being assembled. A fine pale edge detail runs the perimeter of the top, providing a precise moment of contrast that defines the silhouette without interrupting it.
The Gaudí is equally at home at the centre of a dining room as it is at the foot of a bed or within a generous dressing space. Its proportions are deliberate, long enough to anchor a room, refined enough never to dominate it. The dark palette makes it a natural companion to both light, neutral interiors and richer, more layered environments.
As an expression of Flou’s expanded vision for the home, the Gaudí introduces a fresh perspective on how a table can serve as both a functional object and a piece of quiet sculpture. It is not merely a surface; it is an embodiment of the belief that every room deserves at least one thing worth looking at.
