Designed by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba for Talenti’s Cliff collection, the Cliff Modular Sofa treats the outdoor room as a flexible canvas. Each module meets the next with quiet precision, so lines stay clean and the overall silhouette feels intentional, not improvised. Rope-wrapped elements sit comfortably beside upholstered blocks, giving the composition depth without fuss. It reads modern, but not cold. And it gives just enough detail to hold the eye while leaving space for the setting to breathe.

Materials & Build

Material interplay defines the piece. Braided hawser rope is woven around a color-matched metal tubular structure, creating volume and shade while keeping profiles light. On fabric-based elements, the structure disappears from view, letting the upholstery present a smooth, uninterrupted face. The three textures—fabric, rope, and metal—work together, each doing a specific job and never competing.

The palette is considered and versatile: beige mélange for softness, a refined dark grey for contrast, a beige-green that nods to the landscape, and a beige geometric motif for a subtle graphic lift. Finishes coordinate across modules, so mixing components still looks coherent. Everything is designed to click into place and stay aligned, both visually and structurally.
