Designed by Jamela Alawneh for Melaaura, the Majlis Coffee Table anchors the collection’s seating landscape. Brick-format tiles of volcanic lava stone are hand-glazed and laid in a running bond across the top, then framed by a solid teak surround with softly rounded edges and turned cylindrical legs.

The glaze palette runs from quiet single-colour fields — like the speckled Pearl — to a joyful multicolour mix drawn from the full Majlis range: glossy glazes in Boa, Celeste, Amethyst, Mocca and Forest, and leather-touch glazes in Monarch, Ash, Seafoam, Lavanda, Terra and Geko. Fired onto dense lava stone, the surface is UV-stable, frost-proof and effortless to wipe clean — a table that lives outdoors as happily as in.

At seating height for the collection’s low platforms, the square version centres a conversation group while the long rectangle runs the length of the Sun Lounge or Modular sofas.
