A new address for sound in Cannes
Focal has opened its new monobrand store in Cannes, creating a dedicated space for high-fidelity listening and discovery. For the interiors, the brand turned to Meridiani. The choice feels natural: both share a clear approach to quality, from the selection of materials and finishes to the attention paid to the smaller details that shape a more personal, tailored experience.
Across two floors, the setting stays calm and considered, so the focus remains on how the space feels while music is playing. It’s not about filling every corner. It’s about giving each area a sense of purpose, and a sense of ease, from the first step inside.
Palette, atmosphere, and a sense of place
The showroom colors echo Cannes itself. Blue and beige set the tone, with turquoise notes that pick up the sea nearby. Warm reflections from metals and lacquers bring light into the space, while refined grey adds a quieter layer of sophistication. The result is measured but not cold.
And it’s a palette that supports both product worlds. The environment stays soft and welcoming, but it still feels precise. Just the right balance for a store built around listening, where comfort matters as much as clarity.
Furnishings selected for comfort and focus
Meridiani pieces shape the layout with a mix of seating and tables chosen to make guests want to stay a little longer. The Timothy sofa and Josephine armchairs set an immediate tone of relaxed, cocooned comfort. But there’s structure too, with zones that feel defined without ever feeling closed off.
The Gong table, surrounded by Odette chairs, anchors one of the key moments in the store. Elsewhere, the Harold modular sofa introduces flexibility, adapting to the different ways people gather and listen. Belt low tables finish the scenes with a clean, grounded presence. Together, the selection supports the full, generous sound Focal is known for, while keeping the experience warm, intimate, and easy to enjoy.
Shared values, quietly expressed
This project isn’t about decoration for its own sake. It’s about giving performance the right backdrop. The attention to finishes, the care in the details, the way each piece sits within the palette, it all reinforces a shared philosophy between Focal and Meridiani.
In the end, Focal Cannes feels like a store designed for real listening. Comfortable, composed, and personal. Meridiani’s presence is there, but never loud. It simply helps the space do what it came to do.
