Bon Ton 3S Sofa

About Bon Ton 3S Sofa

Design

The Bon Ton 3S by Capital is all about a sculpted, welcoming silhouette. Its finely contoured outer shell cradles the seat, drawing a clean line around the generous width of roughly 106.3 inches and depth of 43.3 inches. The look is sinuous and fluid, but with a clear architectural edge that keeps it from feeling overly soft.

On the back, the shell opens to reveal a distinctive metal finishing element. It is a quiet detail, yet it defines the sofa from every angle. At around 33.9 inches high, the profile sits low enough to feel relaxed, high enough to frame a room and hold its own in larger spaces.

Materials & Build

Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the Sofa 2018 collection, this piece is built with a firm structural core wrapped in softer volumes. The contrast between the rigid frame and the padded interior is intentional. It gives the sofa its clear outline while keeping the seat visually generous and inviting.

A round-cornered metal base grounds the form and adds a subtle shine. The finishing options include metals, fabrics, and leather, with the final cover available either fully in fabric or fully in leather. At about 353 pounds and a volume of roughly 91.8 cubic feet, the sofa has real substance, feeling anchored rather than lightweight.

Comfort

Comfort begins with the pre-cover in memory foam, which adapts gently to the body instead of pushing back. The seat height, close to 17.7 inches, keeps the posture relaxed but not slouched, suitable for both conversation and longer stretches of sitting. The enveloping shape supports the back and sides without feeling closed in. It is the kind of seating that quietly encourages staying put a little longer.

Placement & Lifestyle

With its layered shell and finished back, the Bon Ton 3S from Capital works just as well floating in the center of a room as it does against a wall. The measured proportions suit larger living areas, open-plan spaces, or hospitality settings that call for a strong, coherent sofa rather than a casual piece. And thanks to its refined metal base, it pairs easily with both clean-lined tables and more decorative accents.

Longevity

The combination of a firm structural shell, memory foam pre-cover, and choice of leather or fabric top cover is designed for lasting use. The balanced mix of rigid and soft elements helps the sofa keep its shape over time instead of collapsing. It is a piece meant to age with the room, not be replaced by the next trend.
