The Zen rug by Capital takes its cue from a raked Zen garden, translated into a calm, ribbed surface. A beige taupe base keeps the look understated and easy to live with, while the linear texture adds quiet movement instead of loud pattern. At roughly 102.4 inches by 124 inches, it sits confidently in a room without feeling heavy or intrusive.

Designed as part of the CARPETS 2019 collection, it has a low, considered profile at about 0.6 inches in height. The effect is clean, almost architectural, yet still warm enough for everyday living.

Materials & Build

Zen is crafted from a blend of New Zealand wool and bamboo silk, a pairing chosen for both performance and tactility. The wool brings structure and natural resilience, giving the rug a stable, grounded feel. Bamboo silk introduces a soft sheen that gently catches the light, adding a subtle layer of sophistication rather than a showy shine.

This mix creates a surface that feels substantial underfoot, yet refined enough for more tailored interiors. It is the kind of construction that works just as well in a main living area as in a private suite or studio space.
