Duna L Drawers Unit Office

About Duna L Drawers Unit Office

Design

The Duna L Drawers Unit by Capital is quietly confident. Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the Writing Desks 2025 collection, it keeps a low, composed profile that works beside a desk rather than competing with it. At about 22.8 inches wide, 21.3 inches high, and 18.5 inches deep, it feels compact yet substantial, with enough presence to anchor an office corner without dominating the room.

The form is clean and architectural. Two aligned drawers create a calm front, while the top reads as a simple, generous plane. Nothing is decorative for its own sake. The proportions do the work, giving the unit an easy, confident look that suits both focused home offices and more formal workplaces.

Materials & Build

The top is offered in wood or lacquered finishes, allowing a shift from warm to more graphic, depending on the setting. Drawer fronts can be specified in matching wood essence or lacquer, so the piece can be tuned to sit quietly with an existing desk or become a subtle accent. One dedicated area is wrapped in smooth leather, adding a tactile note that changes the way the hand meets the piece day after day.

The base is realized in a metallic finish, giving the volume a crisp, lifted stance. At roughly 77 pounds, the unit feels reassuringly grounded, not flimsy. The overall volume is about 10.6 cubic feet, which keeps it practical to move when needed but solid enough to feel like a permanent part of the workspace.

Comfort & Use

Day-to-day use is straightforward. Two drawers keep essentials close, from notebooks to personal items, without inviting clutter. The modest height means contents can be reached easily from a seated position, and the top stays open as a landing space for a laptop, tray, or current project. It is the kind of storage that quietly improves the flow of a workday.

Placement & Lifestyle

With its contained footprint, the Duna L unit slides neatly next to or slightly under a writing desk, depending on the setup. It works just as well as a standalone side piece for a reading chair or meeting table. The mix of wood, lacquer, leather, and metal means it can sit comfortably in a polished executive office, a design studio, or a thoughtfully edited home workspace.

Longevity

The materials are chosen to age with use rather than fight it. Wood and lacquer surfaces are simple to care for, the metal base resists everyday knocks, and the smooth leather area develops quiet character over time. The restrained lines make it easy to pair with new desks or seating in the future, so the piece can move as work habits and spaces evolve.
