About Mayfair Console
Design
The Mayfair console from Capital sits in that quiet space between statement and discretion. Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the 2020 console collection, it relies on minimal lines and an essential silhouette. No unnecessary detail, just a long, clean volume resting on slender legs with metal accents that give a subtle lift.
At about 59.1 inches wide, 31.9 inches high, and 19.7 inches deep, the proportions work well against a wall without feeling bulky. The design reads as calm and ordered, so it can anchor a room without competing with other pieces.
Materials & Build
The structure is fully in wood, with two integrated drawers that keep the front face seamless. The legs are finished with metal details and inserts, adding a precise, almost architectural note to the profile. It has presence, too: a weight between roughly 136.7 and 180.8 pounds underlines the solid build.
Available finishes span wood, metal, and marble, giving room for different interpretations of the same clean design. A warmer wood, a cooler marble top, or more pronounced metal accents can each shift the character without changing the essential form.
Use & Everyday Comfort
Though slim, the two drawers make daily use straightforward. They offer an easy place for small essentials, keeping the top surface clear when needed. The height feels natural for setting things down as one moves through a space, whether it’s an entry route or a transition between areas.
Placement & Lifestyle
Mayfair was conceived to move through different areas of the home, from living spaces to night zones. In a living room it can frame art or a mirror, or simply run beneath a television. In a bedroom or dressing area it can act as a light desk-like surface or a refined storage point.
Because the design is pared back, it pairs easily with both soft, upholstered pieces and more sculptural items. It works just as well in a wide hallway as behind a sofa or along a free wall.
Longevity
The combination of a wooden structure with metal details and possible marble elements gives the Mayfair console from Capital a reassuring durability. These are materials chosen to age with the home rather than be replaced quickly.
With its balanced proportions and restrained language, the piece is unlikely to feel out of place as tastes evolve. It is straightforward to live with, adaptable to different rooms, and built to remain part of the setting for years. Volume-wise, it occupies about 31.8 cubic feet, substantial enough to feel permanent yet still easy to re-position when the layout changes.
