Grand .23-R Coffee table

About Grand .23-R Coffee table

Design

The Grand .23-R coffee table from Capital has a quiet confidence. Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the 2022 Coffee Tables collection, it sits low and poised, lifted just enough by slender metal legs to feel light in the room. The top is gently rounded, with a geometric presence that reads clear and intentional, never loud.

Its form is meant to mix. The Grand .23-R works on its own, but really comes into its own when paired with its rectangular or square counterparts. Together they create a simple, graphic landscape of surfaces, easy to read from across the room and easy to live with up close.

Materials & Build

This piece is all about the dialogue between marble and metal. The marble top offers a smooth, cool surface that instantly signals quality, while the slim metal structure keeps the overall profile visually light. There is a clear contrast between the two materials, yet they sit in balance.

The table measures approximately 40.6 inches wide, 29.5 inches deep, and 14.2 inches high, with a substantial weight of about 205 pounds. It feels solid and grounded without appearing heavy, an effect that comes from the careful proportion of the top to the slender legs.

Comfort in Daily Use

Comfort here is about how the table behaves in everyday life. The height makes it easy to reach a drink, a book, or a remote from a sofa without stretching. The surface is broad enough for a casual spread of objects, yet not so large that it dominates the seating area.

The marble itself adds a tactile element. It stays naturally cool to the touch, which many people appreciate, especially in warmer interiors. And the clean geometry keeps edges predictable and practical when moving around the piece.

Placement & Lifestyle

The Grand .23-R by Capital is designed for living spaces where order and ease matter. It anchors a seating group in the living room, or serves as a refined focal point in a lounge-style dining area. The lightness of the metal base helps it work equally well in open-plan spaces and more compact rooms.

When paired with its rectangular or square versions, it can define zones: one table in front of the main sofa, another beside an armchair or chaise. The effect is a clear, cohesive layout that still feels relaxed and adaptable.

Longevity

Marble and metal are chosen here not just for looks, but for staying power. With sensible care, the top keeps its character for years, and the metal legs provide consistent support without visual bulk. It is a piece meant to stay in place, not rotate in and out.

The weight, roughly 10.6 cubic feet in volume, is part of that story. Once positioned, the table feels reassuringly stable, ready for daily use and the slow, natural patina that comes from being part of a room people actually use.
