About Eclisse rug

Design

The Eclisse rug from Capital takes its cue from a lunar eclipse, translated into a calm, contemporary graphic. Fluid curved lines slip across the surface, overlapping and shifting direction, so the pattern never feels static. Cool tones move from icy blue to deep midnight gray, creating a quiet gradient that holds the eye without shouting for attention.

There is a subtle sense of motion in the design. It feels airy, not busy, which lets surrounding furniture breathe. In a bedroom setting, this soft rhythm grounds the room, while the cooler palette keeps the space feeling clean and composed.

Materials & Build

While the Eclisse rug sits in Capital’s CARPETS 2023 collection, it keeps a deliberately understated profile. Its height of 1.4 cm, around 0.55 inches, offers a low, controlled thickness that works well under furniture and near doors. At approximately 230 cm by 412 cm, or about 90.6 inches by 162.2 inches, it has a generous footprint suited to larger rooms.

The proportions are carefully considered. Long, linear dimensions emphasize the directional flow of the pattern, making the rug feel tailored rather than generic. It looks intentional, whether placed in a primary bedroom or a refined suite.

Comfort

The low height gives Eclisse a gently cushioned feel without the bulk of a heavy, high pile rug. It reads sleek, but still soft enough underfoot for a bedroom routine. Morning steps feel supported, while the cool color story brings a visual quiet that is almost as important as physical comfort.

The surface appears smooth and even, which makes it easier to move across, rearrange furniture on, or layer with throws and bedding without distraction.

Placement & Lifestyle

Eclisse works particularly well beneath a bed, extending generously at the sides and foot so the pattern is always visible. The long format also sits comfortably in front of a wall of wardrobes or along a lounge area within a larger bedroom. Its cool blues and grays pair easily with neutral woods, black metals, or softer fabrics.

Because the palette stays restrained, the rug can support bolder artwork or lighting without competing. It frames the room rather than dominating it.

Longevity

The strength of this Capital piece lies in its modern yet subtle graphic. The curved lines and cool shades feel current, but not tied to a short-lived trend. The mixed blue and gray tones are practical too, helping minor everyday signs of use sit more discreetly within the pattern.

As furniture and accessories evolve over time, the Eclisse rug is designed to stay relevant. Its measured geometry and controlled color range make it a long-term anchor for the bedroom, not a one-season statement.
