About Miles Table Lamp

Design

Miles Small Table Lamp takes its cue from the conversation between music and glassmaking. The silhouette nods to brass instruments—the kind of curves seen when glass is blown at its hottest and most delicate. A quiet outer shell reveals fluted, horn-like forms inside, creating a sculptural rhythm that feels composed, never fussy. Designed by Yabu Pushelberg, the piece balances restraint with a touch of theater, so it draws the eye without competing with what’s around it.

In this Graphite / Small edition, the profile stays crisp and modern while the inner contours add movement. The result is a compact statement that reads as an object first and a light source second, which is exactly the point.

Materials & Build

Crafted in handmade glass, the lamp embraces the living nature of the material—the slight variations, the occasional tiny bubble, the nuance in shade. That authenticity gives each piece its own tone. The glass is rendered in Graphite, paired with a Graphite Gray frame for a cohesive, quietly industrial finish. Nothing loud, just a strong, confident presence.

Proportions suit everyday spaces: about 14 inches tall with a diameter near 7.5 inches. At roughly 19.8 pounds, it feels grounded on a side table or console, not fragile. Photography is for reference; actual shade may vary, which is part of the charm of true glasswork from lasvit.

Light & Comfort

The lamp is designed to set a mood without stealing focus. It offers an intimate glow that holds its shape, thanks to the layered inner contours. Place it beside a sofa, a turntable, or a reading chair and it delivers presence rather than glare. Some pieces illuminate; this one also composes the room, letting surrounding textures and finishes breathe.

In use, it feels dependable and calm. Turn it on and the form comes alive; turn it off and it becomes a refined object, still purposeful, still poised.

Placement & Lifestyle

Miles works where proportion matters. On a nightstand, it looks intentional, not oversized. On a console, it becomes a low, architectural anchor that plays well with art, books, and collected objects. The Graphite tone blends with walnut, oak, marble, or lacquered surfaces, and sits comfortably in both modern and classic settings.

Measured but not timid, it’s at home in a study or living room, on a credenza or a window ledge. And because the form is self-contained, it reads as polished even in tighter spaces.

Longevity

Good lighting lasts when the idea is clear and the build is honest. Here, the weight lends stability, the handmade glass carries character, and the design stays relevant as rooms evolve. Subtle variations in the glass ensure that no two are exactly alike, so the piece remains personal from day one.

Over time, the lamp feels less like a new purchase and more like part of the room’s language—a steady companion to daily rituals, true to the original intent of Miles by Yabu Pushelberg.
