Miles Pendant

About Miles Pendant

Design

The Miles Small Pendant by Lasvit takes its cue from the dialogue between music and glass blowing. Designed with Yabu Pushelberg, it nods gently to brass instruments—the moment a horn swells or a trumpet arcs. A clean outer silhouette reveals curvaceous, fluted inner forms that feel composed and rhythmic. Nothing fussy. Just a poised play of volumes that reads as a quiet performance overhead. In this Graphite / Small configuration, the piece brings presence without noise, and it does so with an easy, modern confidence.

The idea is simple: an understated shell framing sculpted inner shapes, linked like a phrase of notes. And when seen from different angles, the pendant offers subtle variations, much like a solo that never lands the same way twice. The Miles collection comes in two shape variations, so it’s easy to keep the language consistent while shifting scale or silhouette across a space.

Materials & Build

Handmade glass is the heart of the piece, blown by Lasvit’s craftspeople and set against a Graphite Gray frame. The glass carries a graphite tone that adds depth without heaviness, letting the pendant hover rather than dominate. Because it is handmade, small bubbles and shade variation may appear. These nuances aren’t flaws—they’re part of the making and the reason the light feels alive.

Proportions are disciplined and efficient: diameter 7.48 inches, length 47.13 inches. Weight is 41.89 pounds, giving the fixture a substantial, secure feel once properly installed. Every element reflects the balance at the core of Miles—pushing form while staying true to the material’s natural limits.

Light & Comfort

The inner, elegantly fluted shapes guide the glow and create a calm visual rhythm. Illumination sits comfortably in the room, neither flat nor glaring. It draws attention when it should, then falls back into harmony with the setting. In daily use, the effect is easy on the eyes and easy to live with, which is exactly the point.

Placement & Lifestyle

This small pendant works beautifully on its own over a side table or reading corner. It also lines up well as a series over a kitchen island or a long dining table, where repetition turns the forms into a measured beat. The graphite palette complements dark woods, stone, or concrete, and it pairs just as well with crisp white surfaces. In residential or hospitality spaces, Lasvit’s Miles brings a refined note that adapts to the mood instead of dictating it.

Longevity

Built from handmade glass with a sturdy frame in Graphite Gray, the pendant is made to stay relevant and stay in use. The finish is restrained, the silhouette disciplined, so it ages gracefully as furnishings around it change. Natural variations in the glass are part of its character and will remain as the quiet signature of the craft. With thoughtful placement and proper installation, Miles continues to feel considered—day after day, year after year.
