The Lasvit Frozen Large Pendant captures a single, striking moment—the instant water turns to ice. In the studio, Velčovský allows molten glass to spill over a metal form, then lets gravity and time leave their mark. The result is not a pattern but a record. Subtle ripples, clean edges, and a cool, glassy surface that feels discovered rather than engineered. Each piece is its own original, and it shows. The Large Pendant holds presence without noise, measuring about 10.24 inches in diameter and 13.39 inches in height. It comes in two shape variations, so a single pendant stands strong and a pair creates effortless contrast.

Materials & Build

Clear glass forms the shade, its character defined by the process—handmade and shaped over a metal form, never pressed into sameness. Expect natural detail: the occasional air bubble, slight nuance in tone. These are part of the piece, not flaws. The frame is finished in a white matte lacquer, RAL 9010, a crisp, neutral counterpoint to the clarity of the glass. At roughly 22.05 pounds, the pendant feels substantial in the hand and steady when installed. Nothing flimsy here, just a clean, honest construction that respects the material.

Light & Comfort

The Frozen pendant favors a calm glow over glare. Its LED source uses an E14 3W lamp, delivering 150 lumens with a 95 CRI for color that reads true. The tone is warm white, easy on the eyes and welcoming at night. It’s ambient by design—perfect when a space needs definition and atmosphere rather than a flood of light.
