      Relax

Relaxation outdoors deserves furniture made for it. This collection gathers the pieces that turn a terrace, garden, or poolside into a place to linger: adjustable sunbeds and chaise longues, generous daybeds, and sheltered lounging built to face the Southern California sun. Most are engineered by Talenti, the Italian outdoor specialist, in weatherproof frames and quick-dry fabrics. Browse the loungers below, then read our guide to choosing for sun, comfort, and the way you like to unwind.

      Buying Guide

How to Choose Outdoor Lounge Furniture

      01
Choose how you like to recline

A sun lounger with an adjustable back moves from upright reading to flat sunbathing. A daybed invites two to lounge together, often beneath a canopy for shade.

      02
      Read the frame and fabric

Powder-coated aluminium and teak handle sun, rain, and poolside chlorine. Quick-dry foams and solution-dyed fabrics shrug off a splash and dry in the breeze.

      03
      Plan for sun and shade

Note where the sun falls through the day. Pair loungers with a parasol, or place a canopied daybed, so you can choose sun or shade without moving the furniture.

      04
      Think about storage and weight

Lighter aluminium frames move easily for cleaning and winter storage, while heavier pieces stay put in wind. Stackable or folding loungers help where space is tight.

      Materials & Styles

      Frames, Cushions and Comfort

      01
      Adjustable Sunbeds

Multi-position backs and, on some designs, wheels, so a single lounger serves for reading, dozing, and full sun.

      02
      Daybeds and Canopy Beds

Wide, bed-like lounging for two, often with a canopy or curtains for shade and a sense of retreat.

      03
      Weatherproof Frames

Powder-coated aluminium, teak, and woven synthetic that hold up to sun, salt, and rain across the seasons.

      04
      Quick-Dry Cushions

Marine-grade foams and fade-resistant fabrics that dry fast and keep their colour by the pool.

Talenti and the Art of Outdoor Comfort

Outdoor comfort is an engineering problem as much as a design one, and Talenti has spent decades solving it. The Italian house supplies most of this collection, with sunbeds and daybeds that pair slim, sculptural lines with frames and fabrics built for real weather. Atmosphera brings a softer, more decorative hand to outdoor lounging, while Myface adds relaxed, contemporary pieces for the pool and garden. Gervasoni contributes its natural, woven sensibility for a more organic terrace. Every lounger here is chosen to look as composed in its third summer as in its first. For a poolside scheme designed around your space, Melaaura can help specify and source the right pieces.

      01

      Poolside, All Afternoon

A row of adjustable sunbeds lines the water, backs raised for reading and dropped flat as the sun climbs.

      The Shaded Daybed

A canopied daybed becomes a retreat at the garden edge, made for slow mornings and longer naps.

      The Sculptural Recline

A single chaise longue reads as sculpture by day and the best seat in the garden by evening.

A sun lounger is a single, usually adjustable recliner for sunbathing and reading. A daybed is wider and more bed-like, often with a canopy, and is made for lounging together or napping in the shade.

Yes. The frames and fabrics are built for it, with corrosion-resistant aluminium or teak and quick-dry cushions that handle splashes, chlorine, and salt air.

Rinse fabrics and frames occasionally, let cushions dry fully before storing, and cover or bring pieces in over winter where you can. Quality outdoor materials are made to live outside, but a little care extends their life.

Solution-dyed, quick-dry cushions tolerate the odd shower and dry quickly, but for longevity it is best to store cushions under cover during prolonged wet or winter spells.

Southern California sun and pool chemicals favour fade-resistant fabrics and aluminium or teak frames. The Talenti and Atmosphera pieces here are well suited to that year-round outdoor life.

Many do, either fixed or adjustable, to give shade and a sense of enclosure. We can advise which designs include a canopy and which pair well with a separate parasol.
