Tudor Storage

About Tudor Storage

Design & Presence

The Tudor sideboard by Capital is designed as a calm, confident anchor for the dining area. Its long, low silhouette runs just over 98 inches, giving the piece an immediate architectural feel without overwhelming the room. Two hinged doors and two coplanar doors create a clean, linear front that reads as one continuous volume, more furniture architecture than simple storage.

Drawn by Boatto Martino Studio for the Sideboards 2020 collection, the piece sits in that space between classic and contemporary. Depending on the chosen configuration, it can lean more formal, or quietly modern, while always remaining understated and precise.

Materials & Build

This sideboard is available in a considered mix of metals and wood, with the option of a marble top for those who want a stronger visual statement. The finishes are not decorative add-ons; they define the character of each configuration, from warmer wood essences to cooler, more graphic marble.

At roughly 28.7 inches high, 20.1 inches deep, and 98.4 inches long, with a weight ranging from about 344 to 441 pounds, the piece feels solid and reassuring. Volume is around 45.9 cubic feet, but it is the way that volume is organised that makes the difference.

Interior & Ease of Use

Inside, a bronze glass shelf adds a subtle note of lightness against the more substantial exterior. It breaks up storage in a practical way, while still allowing objects to feel displayed rather than hidden away. Internal LED lighting, chosen to suit the project, turns the interior into a quietly illuminated space, useful for both everyday access and evening atmosphere.

Placement & Lifestyle

Tudor is conceived first for the dining room, completing a table setting with a clear destination for tableware, linens, and ritual objects. But it also works along a generous living room wall or in a wide circulation area, where its length can visually stretch the space. The simple geometry makes it easy to pair with existing pieces, from upholstered seating to more sculptural chairs.

Longevity & Character

With its measured proportions and choice of enduring materials, the sideboard is built for long-term use rather than a single season. Surfaces in wood, metal, and marble age with a certain dignity, gaining a softer patina over time. That quiet evolution suits the spirit of Capital: furniture that settles into a home and stays relevant as rooms, and lives, change around it.
