The Prisma sideboard by Capital sits in that space between statement piece and quiet background. Boatto Martino Studio draws a precise, graphic front, where clean lines and subtle patterning break up the volume without shouting. The proportions are generous yet well balanced, giving the piece a grounded, confident stance. In lacquer, the surface reads smooth and contemporary, letting the play of light pick up the geometry in a discreet way. In full marble, the design becomes more architectural, almost sculpted from a single block.

From the SIDEBOARDS 2016 collection, Prisma keeps its language deliberately minimal. No excess, just a strong, clear form that works with different interiors rather than competing with them.

Materials & Build

Natural materials define Prisma. Wood, metals, and marbles are combined with a lacquered finish option, or taken all the way to an entirely marble-clad version. Each choice changes the character of the piece, from softer and warmer to crisp and monumental. The four hinged doors are seamlessly integrated into the front, so the structure feels compact and composed even when closed.

Inside, the tone shifts. A glossy black interior finish gives depth and contrast, while the internal glass shelf keeps the volume visually light and makes it easier to see what is stored. An internal LED, chosen to suit the project, completes the picture, bringing clarity to the contents and a gentle glow when the doors open.

Prisma is designed for everyday living, not just for show. The four hinged doors open onto a well-organized interior, with the glass shelf dividing space without adding heaviness. The dark, reflective interior works with the LED lighting, making it simple to locate items at a glance. It feels orderly, even when fully in use.

At approximately 35 inches high, 19.7 inches deep, and 86.6 inches long, Prisma has a strong horizontal presence without overwhelming a room. It suits a dining area as a sideboard, a living space as a media or display piece, or a generous hallway where storage needs to look considered. With a volume of about 35.3 cubic feet, it offers substantial capacity while keeping a clean silhouette.
