About Prisma Bar Storage
Design
Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for Capital’s Cabinets 2016 collection, the Prisma Bar brings the language of contemporary mixology into a sculpted cabinet form. Its clean geometry is softened by subtle patterning, giving the front a quiet sense of movement without feeling fussy. At about 65 inches wide, 75 inches high, and 25.6 inches deep, it has a generous presence yet keeps a clear, architectural silhouette.
This is a piece created for those who like order at the bar. Four hinged doors keep everything concealed when the party is over, then open to frame the interior like a small stage. The look is intentionally refined, but not fragile, so it sits comfortably in both formal and more relaxed spaces.
Materials & Build
The Prisma Bar is built around natural materials, mainly wood and marble, balanced with discreet metal accents. The cabinet can be specified with a lacquered exterior, or entirely clad in marble for a stronger statement. In both versions, the surfaces feel deliberate and considered, with patterns that line up cleanly across the doors.
Inside, a glass shelf organizes bottles and stemware, set against a glossy black interior that adds depth and contrast. Internal LED lighting, available in the user’s preferred tone, washes the contents with an even glow. At roughly 750 pounds and a volume of about 88.3 cubic feet, the cabinet has real substance, which supports a feeling of stability in daily use.
Use & Comfort
Conceived as a mobile bar, Prisma is about making service feel simple. The wide opening created by the four doors gives clear access to everything inside, while the glass shelf keeps key pieces visible at a glance. The LED lighting helps during evening gatherings, so guests are never left searching for a bottle in the dark.
Nothing about the layout is showy; it is straightforward and practical. Hosts can work quickly and stay focused on their guests, not on managing the storage.
Placement & Lifestyle
In a living room, dining room, or private suite, the Prisma Bar from Capital works as both storage and a quiet focal point. The lacquered version sits well with softer furnishings, while the full marble option pairs naturally with stone floors or more architectural interiors.
It suits homes that entertain, but also private offices or hospitality suites where a composed bar corner is needed. Closed, it reads as a refined cabinet. Open, it shifts the atmosphere immediately into hosting mode.
Presence & Longevity
The combination of solid weight, carefully chosen wood and marble, and restrained metal details gives the piece a reassuring sense of permanence. It is not a fragile bar cart, but a substantial cabinet intended to live with frequent use.
With its measured design and honest materials, Prisma is the kind of bar that feels relevant across many seasons of interiors. It is built to stay in place, to open and close again and again, and to hold its role quietly in the background of many gatherings to come.
