About Duna Storage
Design
The Duna sideboard from Capital draws its character from the soft movement of desert dunes. The front and sides suggest a gentle, continuous flow, giving the piece presence without noise. Lines stay clean, surfaces are calm, and every panel works together as a single, sculpted volume.
At roughly 102.4 inches wide, 31.5 inches high, and 19.7 inches deep, it offers a generous span without feeling heavy in the room. The proportion of height to length keeps it low and horizontal, ideal when a space needs storage, but also a quiet architectural gesture along the wall.
Materials & Build
The structure is offered in wood veneer or lacquer, allowing a choice between a more natural grain or a sleek, uniform surface. Doors and sides can be finished in wood veneer, lacquer, or smooth leather, so the piece can lean warmer and tactile or more polished and graphic, depending on the combination.
Inside, bronzed glass shelves bring a subtle glow and a lighter look to the interior. Two drawers sit ready to take smaller objects that need order rather than display. Metallic finish accents complete the composition, giving definition to the edges and hardware. With a weight of about 298 pounds and a volume of 35.3 cubic feet, Duna feels solid and carefully engineered for everyday use.
Everyday Comfort & Use
This is storage designed to be lived with, not just looked at. Doors open to wide, flexible compartments, while the drawers keep cutlery, linens, or accessories neatly contained. The height makes the top surface easy to reach, so styling, serving, or simply setting things down feels natural.
Placement & Lifestyle
In a dining room, Duna quietly takes care of tableware and serving pieces, leaving the table clear. In a living space, it becomes a long, composed base for art, lighting, or a curated mix of objects. Its measured width lets it anchor a wall on its own or sit comfortably below a large artwork or mirror.
Longevity
Designed in 2024 by Boatto Martino Studio, Duna is built around finishes that age with grace: wood veneers, lacquers, smooth leather, bronzed glass, and metal accents. Each material is chosen to stay relevant as interiors shift over time.
With its balanced scale and thoughtful internal layout, the sideboard adapts to changing needs, from entertaining to everyday storage. The result is a piece that feels current now and remains easy to live with for years.
