Duna Storage

About Duna Storage

Design

Duna from Capital takes its cue from desert landscapes, translating soft dune lines into a sculpted cabinet with a quiet presence. The silhouette is clean yet expressive, with volumes that feel balanced rather than showy. Nothing screams for attention, but the piece does draw the eye. It sits comfortably in the CABINETS 2024 collection, carrying the signature of Boatto Martino Studio: graceful geometry, clear function, and a calm, confident stance in the room.

Materials & Build

The structure is offered in wood or in a lacquered finish, giving the cabinet a solid architectural base. Two doors and the side panels can be specified in wood, in lacquer, or in smooth leather, allowing a play of texture across the front and flanks. Inside, bronzed glass shelves add a subtle, reflective note that keeps storage from feeling heavy. An open section features two shelves, again in wood or lacquer, for pieces that deserve to be on view. A closed container with two doors, in wood or cannette lacquer, hides what needs to stay out of sight. Finishing options span wood, leather, and metals, so the Duna Collection can align with a restrained scheme or a richer, layered palette.

The cabinet measures about 47.2 inches in width, 63 inches in height, and 19.7 inches in depth, with a weight of approximately 326 pounds and a volume of around 35.3 cubic feet, giving it a reassuring sense of stability.

Daily Ease & Organization

This is storage designed to be used, not just admired. The mix of open and closed sections keeps everyday life orderly without feeling rigid. Bronzed glass shelves allow objects to be seen, but not exposed harshly. Open shelving holds books, curated objects, or bar pieces within easy reach, while the closed container quietly absorbs everything else. The result is a cabinet that supports a sense of visual calm, even when the day is busy.

Placement & Lifestyle

The Duna cabinet works best where display and storage need to coexist. Against a long wall, it can ground a space and give structure to a seating area. In more formal settings, the mix of finishes lets it move between relaxed and polished moods. Because both sides and front are carefully finished, it reads as a considered volume in the room, not just a functional box pushed into a corner.

Longevity

Capital builds Duna with enduring materials—wood, leather, metals, and glass—that are meant to age with use, not fight it. The substantial weight underscores a solid construction that feels made to stay in place, not shift with every move. Surfaces can be refreshed over time, and the straightforward geometry resists going out of style quickly. It is a piece designed to live through changing interiors, still offering the same composed storage it did on day one.
