About Aurelia Storage
Design
Aurelia from Capital sits in that space between storage and statement piece. At roughly 47.2 inches wide and 66.1 inches high, it has presence without feeling heavy in the room. The lines are clean, the volume is clear, and nothing is overworked. It looks considered rather than decorated, which is exactly the point. The silhouette lets the finishes speak, and that restraint gives the cabinet a calm, confident character.
Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for the Cabinets 2024 collection, the piece feels current but not loud. Every surface has a role, every edge feels intentional. It reads as one solid gesture rather than a set of parts, which makes it easy to place with existing furniture, contemporary or more classic.
Materials & Build
The cabinet combines metal, marble, and wood finishes in a straightforward, architectural way. There’s a quiet contrast between the cool touch of metal, the depth of marble, and the warmth of wood, without any one dominating. Nothing feels experimental for its own sake; the mix is disciplined and clear.
At about 19.7 inches deep and approximately 286.6 pounds, Aurelia has a convincing solidity. It is not a light piece, and that weight gives it stability and a reassuring feel when in use. The construction is evidently built for daily living rather than occasional display, with surfaces intended to be touched, opened, and used.
Use & Comfort
For a storage piece, comfort is about ease. Aurelia’s proportions make it practical to access without stretching or bending awkwardly. The height works well for everyday handling, from storing tableware to keeping personal objects organized. And because the volume is carefully balanced, it offers generous capacity without becoming visually bulky.
Placement & Lifestyle
With a footprint close to 47.2 by 19.7 inches and a volume around 35.3 cubic feet, the cabinet suits dining areas, living rooms, or a generous entry. It has enough scale to anchor a wall, yet its clean geometry keeps it from overwhelming smaller spaces. The mix of metal, marble, and wood finishes allows it to sit comfortably alongside both upholstered pieces and more minimal settings.
Capital’s Aurelia can act as a focal point or quietly support a room, depending on what is placed around it. It is as suitable for curated objects and art books as it is for more functional storage, adapting easily as needs change.
Longevity
The material palette is chosen with durability in mind. Metal resists daily contact, marble brings a naturally robust surface when treated with care, and wood adds a familiar tactility that ages well. The substantial weight speaks to a structure meant to stay put and stay in use.
Over time, the piece is designed to feel more integrated into the home, not less. Surfaces can be maintained with regular, straightforward care, and the calm design language avoids short-lived trends. It is a cabinet intended to serve, quietly and reliably, over many years of rearranging, rethinking, and living around it.
