About Tamashi Modular Sofa
Soft Lines, Quiet Presence
The Tamashi Modular Sofa from Talenti takes a calm, horizontal approach to living room design. Its forms are soft and continuous — no sharp angles, no forced geometry. The silhouette sits low and wide, creating a grounded composition that feels settled rather than staged. It reads as one flowing piece, even when built from multiple modules. And that’s the point. The design doesn’t demand attention. It earns it.
What It’s Made Of
The frame is built from solid and multilayer wood, with elastic webbing supporting the seat platform. It’s a proven combination — stable, resilient, and quiet underfoot. Padding is high-density differentiated polyurethane foam wrapped in polyester fiber, which gives each module its sculpted shape while keeping the surface smooth and even. Back cushions are filled with polyester fiber for a softer, more relaxed feel against the body.
Upholstery is available across a wide range of fabric categories, from A through LUX, as well as leather in categories F and G LUX. Feet are made from thermoplastic polymer, durable and discreet. The seat height sits at roughly 16 inches, with the armrest at about 25 inches — low enough to encourage lounging, high enough to feel supported.
Built for Real Comfort
Deep seating and generous cushions make this a sofa people actually sink into. It’s not stiff, not overly structured. The kind of comfort here is informal and unhurried. Modules range from around 79 to 106 lbs depending on the piece, so there’s real substance to each section. That weight comes from the density of the materials inside — nothing hollow, nothing flimsy.
Configurations That Fit the Room
Tamashi is a modular system, so its layout follows the room rather than the other way around. End pieces, corner modules, and chaise longue sections are all available in left and right orientations. A compact arrangement works in a smaller living area. A larger L-shape or open configuration suits more expansive spaces. The system adapts without losing its visual continuity. Each module connects into the next, maintaining that same unbroken, enveloping line.
It suits homes where the sofa is the center of daily life — not just a piece to look at but one to live on. Reading, napping, conversation. Talenti designed it with everyday informality in mind.
Long-Term Value
The combination of solid wood framing, high-density foam, and elastic webbing is built to hold up over years of daily use. But the modularity adds something else: flexibility over time. Rooms change. Needs shift. A system like this can be reconfigured or expanded without replacing the whole sofa. That kind of adaptability is worth more than most people realize when they’re first buying in.
