About Trilogy D70.90 Mirror
Design
Designed by Boatto Martino Studio for Capital in 2015, the Trilogy D70.90 takes a simple circle and gives it a quiet authority. The bronze perimeter outlines the mirror with a clear, graphic gesture, framing the reflection without overpowering it. With a diameter that ranges roughly from 28 to 35 inches, it feels generous on the wall yet still controlled, offering a sense of balance and visual order.
The depth is about 2 inches, which gives the piece just enough projection to read as an object, not just a surface. The silhouette stays clean and uncluttered, so it works comfortably with both restrained interiors and more layered, collected spaces. It looks designed, but not fussy.
Materials & Build
The Trilogy D70.90 is defined by its metal structure, with the bronze finish acting as the key detail. The perimeter is solid and precise, giving the mirror a reassuring feel on the wall. It reads as a single, sculpted ring rather than a series of components.
Technical data lists a depth of 5 cm (about 2 inches) and a volume of around 0.7 m³, roughly 24.7 cubic feet. In practice, that translates into a piece that feels substantial but not heavy, visually or physically. The build is straightforward and robust, which is exactly what a daily-use mirror needs.
Comfort in Everyday Use
Comfort here is visual more than anything. The round shape softens the wall, taking the edge off harder architectural lines. The bronze perimeter adds warmth, so the reflection feels inviting rather than clinical. It is a mirror that becomes part of the room’s rhythm, not a noisy focal point.
Because the frame stays slim, it is easy to live with. People can move around it, pass by it, use it every day without feeling it encroaches on the space.
Placement & Lifestyle
In a living room, the Trilogy D70.90 works well above a console or sideboard, where its circular form can offset the straight lines of cabinetry and sofas. In an entryway, it quickly becomes the piece everyone uses on the way out, adding both function and a welcoming note right at the door.
In the bedroom, it can sit over a dresser or on a free wall, catching natural light by day and soft artificial light at night. The scale is versatile enough to hold its own as a single statement, or to pair with other Capital pieces from the Lighting and Complements collection.
Longevity
The round geometry and bronze metal frame give the mirror a long life aesthetically. It does not rely on trends or decorative excess, which makes it easy to move from one home to another, or from one room to the next, without feeling dated.
With its measured proportions and sturdy metal perimeter, the Trilogy D70.90 is built to stay on the wall for years, aging alongside the interior rather than aging out of it.
