Ercole Dining table

About Ercole Dining table

Design

The Ercole dining table from Capital starts from a single block of marble and keeps the idea as pure as it sounds. The form is clear, almost elemental: a strong circular top, a grounded base, and a quiet vertical line through the center. Nothing feels decorative for its own sake. The geometry does the work.

Designed by Boatto Martino Studio in 2018, it has the calm presence of a piece that doesn’t need to raise its voice. The silhouette is clean, but not cold. In a room, Ercole naturally becomes the anchor point, letting chairs, lighting, and objects arrange themselves around it.

Materials & Build

Both top and base are crafted in marble, with a metal central insert and discreet metal details. The contrast is subtle: the stone carries the weight and character; the metal gives a precise, modern edge. Everything reads as one continuous volume.

The table measures approximately 30 inches high, with a diameter of about 63 inches. At around 1,087 pounds and a volume close to 35 cubic feet, it is reassuringly substantial. The mass of the marble keeps the piece steady and composed, even in busy spaces.

Comfort & Proportions

At its height, Ercole pairs naturally with standard dining chairs, so posture feels easy and relaxed. The circular top brings everyone into the conversation without favoring a “head” of the table.

With the structure concentrated toward the center, the perimeter remains visually clean. Chairs can move in and out with little interruption, keeping the setting comfortable for lingering over longer meals.

Placement & Lifestyle

This Capital dining table works as well in a dedicated dining room as it does in a spacious kitchen or open-plan living area. The simple round form suits contemporary interiors, but it also sits comfortably next to warmer materials like wood, leather, or textured upholstery.

Ercole supports everyday use just as easily as more formal occasions. It can hold a single object at the center or a full setting without feeling crowded.

Longevity

Marble and metal are chosen here for permanence, not trend. With normal care, the surface keeps its character and sense of quality over time.

The design is restrained enough to move with changing interiors, while the solid build means the table is meant to stay in place for years, both physically and stylistically.
