About Loïc Dining table

Design

Designed by Boatto Martino Studio in 2022, the Loïc dining table from Capital has a calm, confident presence. Its silhouette is clean and circular, with a generous diameter of about 63 inches that encourages easy conversation around the whole table. Nothing feels fussy. The design lets the materials speak, yet there is a clear architectural intent behind the way the base meets the top.

The round form softens the look, even though the piece is substantial. At roughly 29.5 inches high, it sits at a comfortable dining level while keeping proportions balanced. The eye is drawn to the contrast of the legs, where two materials meet in a controlled, graphic cut. Metallic details are used sparingly, almost like a piece of jewelry, to catch the light without overpowering the room.

Materials & Build

The top is crafted in wood, offered with lacquered, glossy, or matt finishes. This flexibility lets the table shift from quietly understated to more reflective and formal, depending on the chosen surface. The base is distinctly bimaterial: the upper part in lacquered or glossy wood essence, the lower part in marble. Together, they create a grounded profile that feels both modern and reassuring.

Metal accents complete the composition, adding a precise note of brightness. At around 551 pounds, the table has real weight and stability. It occupies about 70.6 cubic feet in volume when measured for space planning, which reflects its solid, monolithic build rather than something light or temporary.

Comfort at the Table

With its circular 63-inch top, Loïc naturally supports shared dining. Guests can see and speak to one another without leaning or stretching across corners. The standard dining height offers familiar comfort for chairs of different styles, from upholstered to slender wood designs. And because the base is centralized, legroom around the perimeter feels open and easy to use.

Placement & Lifestyle

This table suits a dining room where the table is meant to anchor the space, not disappear into it. Its rounded shape works well in both square and rectangular rooms, softening lines and helping circulation around it. In an open-plan setting, the mix of wood, marble, and metal gives a clear focal point, pairing just as naturally with neutral interiors as with bolder, more layered schemes.

Longevity

Capital’s Loïc relies on enduring materials: solid-feeling wood finishes on top, marble at the base, and metal details that resist daily wear. These surfaces are chosen not only for their look, but for the way they age with use. The robust weight and construction suggest it is meant to stay in place, becoming a stable center for daily meals, longer gatherings, and everything in between over the years.
