Grand Chaise Longue Sofa

About Grand Chaise Longue Sofa

Design

The Grand Chaise Longue sits within Capital’s SOFA 2024 collection as a calm, confident piece. Designed by Boatto Martino Studio, it takes the language of the brand’s living room range and stretches it into a relaxed, elongated form. The proportions feel considered rather than showy, with a clear focus on balance and ease. It is meant to sit alongside sofas, armchairs, poufs and tables from the same family, yet it stands on its own without needing a full setting around it.

There is a quiet precision to the silhouette. Nothing shouts. The character comes through in the way the volumes relate to each other and in the discreet handmade detailing that gives the chaise its identity.

Materials & Build

This chaise is part of an extremely versatile seating system, both in composition and in the way materials can be combined. Metals, leather and fabrics are offered as finishes, allowing the piece to shift from understated to more expressive, depending on the space. The mix can be dialed up or kept minimal, but it always feels coherent.

Attention to handmade details is present throughout the Grand Chaise Longue. The craftsmanship is not decorative for its own sake; it supports the clean geometry and helps the chaise integrate seamlessly with the rest of Capital’s living room collection.

Comfort & Scale

With a width of about 90.6 inches and a depth of roughly 40.6 inches, the chaise offers generous room for one person to stretch out, or for more upright lounging when needed. At around 22.4 inches high, with a seat height close to 16.5 inches, it keeps a low, relaxed profile that works well for informal use.

Weighing approximately 209.4 pounds, it feels substantial rather than light, which adds to the sense of stability when someone settles in.

Placement & Lifestyle

The Grand chaise can anchor a living room corner on its own or extend a larger Capital sofa composition. It also works as a transition piece in an open-plan layout, softening the line between a seating area and dining or workspace. In more private rooms, it can become a quiet spot by a window, next to a small table from the same collection.

Longevity

The combination of metal, leather and fabric finishes gives this chaise a long runway in terms of use. Surfaces are conceived to work with everyday life while staying visually coherent over time. And because the design language is shared across Capital’s SOFA 2024 collection, the piece can evolve with the home, pairing comfortably with new elements from the range in the years ahead.
